2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4

Lamborghini has introduced the new 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 to the world super sports car market. The 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 will house a 6.5 liter V12 engine that will put out a staggering 700 horsepower at 8250 rpm and 509 lb-ft of torque at 5500 rpm. That power will be translated to the asphalt via Lamborghini’s ISR transmission which guarantees the fastest shifting time of only 50 milliseconds. Weight savings was a priority in the new 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. The entire occupant cell including the tub and roof is one single physical component made of light weight carbon fiber (325.18 lbs) while the front and rear frames (505.9 lbs) are manufactured with aluminum. The use of carbon fiber and aluminum features an impressive combination of extreme torsional stiffness and weight savings. The 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 will have an approximate sale price of $379,000.

2011 Mclaren MP4 12C Super Car

The McLaren MP4-12C is a high performance two-seat mid-engine sports car powered by a bespoke McLaren (M838T) 3.8 liter, V8 twin-turbo engine that produces approximately 600 horsepower and 433 lb-ft of torque. The twin-turbocharged engine drives a McLaren seven speed Seamless Shift dual clutch gearbox (SSG). The McLaren MP4-12C is pure McLaren because this particular vehicle is manufactured with no carryover parts from any other car. Knowing that weight is the enemy in any performance sports car, McLaren engineers focused on making the McLaren MP4-12C super lightweight by using a carbon fiber chassis structure (Carbon MonoCell), lightweight exhaust pipes, a compact downsized engine, a compact transmission, lightweight alloy wheels and the engine cooling radiators were mounted at the rear as close to the engine as possible to minimize the pipework.

2011 Pagani Huayra C9

The new 2011 Pagani Huayra C9 features a 6.0 liter AMG V12 engine that’s twin-turbocharged, dry-sumped and produces more than 690 horsepower and 737 ft-lbs of torque. The 2011 Pagani Huayra C9’s engine is mated to a seven-speed automated manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels. Pagani states that the 2011 Pagani Huayra C9 can hit a top speed higher than 224 mph.
